1. Why am I here?
I am here because I want to be a high school teacher and I think that taking this class will make me the best teacher I can be. Very smart people have created the education program at UVU and if they think that taking this class will make me better then I am all for it.
2. What motivates me?
Motivation is very important to me. There are many things that motivates me. Happiness, money, sense of accomplishment, praise, and making the people I care about happy and proud.
3. What makes me succeed?
Having a good support group around me is very important to my success. I guess it ties into the second question, but having good motivation and something to work towards gives me the strength I need to succeed.
4. What makes me fail?
I struggle or fall short when I cannot see the point of something. If I cannot understand why I am doing something then I have a difficult time accomplishing the things that I have been assigned to do. Whether it is recreation, sports, academically, or personally.
5. How can you change a mindset?
I think a mindset is all about attitude as well as preconceived ideas that may or may not be true. However these mindsets can be altered by motivation, goals, soul searching and wanting to succeed. If all these factors are in the right place then there can be a change in attitude and therefor a change of a mindset.
